The brief for this project was to create the logo and branding for the Michael Murphy Podcast. Michael is a psychoanalyst and his podcast is centered around discussing and analysing dreams. In preparation for this work I listened to some of Michael’s other work discussing dreams. His wisdom and calm, confident demeanour are central to who he is and how he speaks - and I wanted to capture this.

I chose a sophisticated, modern serif font for the logotype, paired with a geometric san serif font. The client provided the photo, which I enhanced in Photoshop before incorporating into the design. The colours in the design were informed by the colours in the photo - the blue tie and gold rimmed glasses caught my eye, and I wanted the design to highlight these elements.

Michael was delighted with the finished result and this art is currently being used as the cover art for his Podcast.
